FEMA PRISON CAMPS FOR STORM
VICTIMS?  PRESS FORBIDDEN ENTRY

NORTH KOREA? CUBA?  NO, IT'S THE UNITED STATES OF APATHY
-The third world conditions at 'Camp Freedom' are despicable to say the least as residents have stated: “Everybody is angry over here. It’s like being in prison”-

                              BEST FEMA CAN OFFER
A FREEZING TENT OR A DILAPIDATED PRISON
OCEANPORT — No media is allowed into this tent city known to FEMA as 'Camp Freedom' as the government is afraid the truth will reach the masses. Residents of the FEMA camp in Oceanport NJ  were less than enamored with their new accommodations Wednesday night and were  trying in vein to let the outside world know about it. FEMA officials tried to stop them from taking pictures, turned off the WiFi and said they couldn’t charge their smart phones because there wasn’t enough power. After everyone started complaining and they found out we were contacting the press, they brought people in. "Every time we plugged in an iPhone or something, the cops would come and unplug them." Yet when they moved us in they laid out cable on the table and the electricians told us they were setting up charging stations. But suddenly there wasn’t enough power.” 'Camp Freedom' security guards threatened the inquiring media with having their cars towed when parked on public sreets outside the gates. No media is allowed beyond the fences of the camp, what little news has managed to escape the area is disturbing.

FEMA is reportedly eyeing a recently deactivated prison as temporary housing for people seeking help in the aftermath of the hurricane  - "Whether the prison is even inhabitable is still up in the air"-
On Staten Island alone, 5,200 people applied for temporary FEMA but only 24 people have been successfully placed, FEMA said. Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro, however, is firmly opposed to using the prison, sources said. Closed last December, the medium-security prison could feed and sleep as many as 900 people with nowhere else to go. “Our prison staff have to go through it to determine what it would take to get it up and running for such a purpose,” said Peter Cutler, a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections. “Of course, the challenge is the fact that it was closed a year ago and all of the major infrastructure components, such as boilers and waste water system, were deactivated.”
