FEMA FAIL   Déjà vu
- FEMA's heavily advertised  "lean forward" strategy" that called for advanced staging of supplies for emergency distribution failed to live up to its billing in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and don't forget  their  stellar performance after Katrina -

FEMA director Craig Fugate has 13.5 billion dollars and can't buy bottled water:

This phony agency was completely unprepared to distribute even bottled water,or anything else, to Hurricane Sandy victims after the storm hit this Monday. In contrast to its stated policy, FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water or any other supplies, for that matter stored in nearby facilities as it had proclaimed it would on its website. You'd think just maybe Fema would have a little something stored up for the largest city in the country. This was the case despite several days advance warning of the impending storm. These pretend disaster relief experts only started taking bids on bottled water from vendors on Friday afternoon. Only two days before landfall of a hurricane!  The winning vendor would be required to deliver the 2.3 million gallons of bottled water to an East Farmingdale, New York distribution center that was listed in the solicitation request by Monday, November 5th. When or how the water would be delivered from the distribution center to needy Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey, Staten Island, Long Island, and other boroughs of New York City. Vendors "are currently being evaluated," and officially no one knows. FEMA said, when the vendors are announced, they will provide information on how local distribution will occur. Maybe by the next hurricane!

If FEMA can't or won't do what they were supposedly organized to do, then what is their real purpose? To shed some glimmer of light on this hugely funded and very secret agency we need to go back to the Reagan administration.This is when the infamous and criminally paranoid Oliver North was situated in the basement of the Reagan Whitehouse. During his time serving under  President Reagan, North was conjuring up all kinds of clandestine and unconstitutional gimmicks to potentially render our democratically elected government null and void by means of FEMA. This would happen in an emergency,the nature of which would be decided by some future president?  Oliver North was later tried for 16 felonys and convicted for lying to Congress about Iran Contra Affair, which he was instrumental in. North was tried in 1988 in relation to his activities while at the National Security Council. He was indicted on sixteen felony counts, and, on May 4, 1989, he was initially convicted of three: accepting an illegal gratuity; aiding and abetting in the obstruction of a congressional inquiry; and ordering the destruction of documents via his secretary, Fawn Hall. He was sentenced, by U.S. District Judge Gerhard A. Gesell on July 5, 1989, to a three-year suspended prison term, two years' probation, $150,000 in fines, and 1,200 hours community service. Unfortunately ,the damage that was done to our country has never been undone. Ever since Reagan/Bush#1 and Ollie North got their dirty mitts on FEMA it has never been the same. FEMA was started by Jimmy Carter in the 70's and was, for a short time, an actual disaster relief group. Under Reagan and Bush#1 it suffered irreversible mission creep and turned into a virtual shadow government which now has the power to strip congress of all it's powers and suspend the U.S. Constitution.This action by FEMA has no built-in provision to ever restore those powers.
