FBI BEGINS INSTALLING IT'S  BILLION DOLLAR FACE RECOGNITION SYSTEM ALL ACROSS AMERICA
The FBI has announced it awarded Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions, one of the Defense Department’s most favored contractors, with the authorization to design, develop, test and deploy a nationwide array of face scanners which will be installed at secret locations throughout the nation with the purpose of  biometrically identifying every person in the country  and  accumulate and archive a personal trove of information to match each face. Their master plan is to digitize every ones face in the country at a cost of a billion dollars. Your digital image scan will then be to be linked to a comprehensive personal data file administered by the pentagon and distributed to law enforcement and possibly sold to corporate entities, all without your knowledge or ability to correct or delete erroneous data. And furthermore, innocent Americans will not even be able to find out if they are in the system or not. All this is to be accomplished with Orwellian technology never before heard of outside of science fiction. The New Scientist Publication reports that a 2010 study found this new technology used by the  FBI and Pentagon not to be any where near 100% accurate . It proved to be accurate  only 92 percent of the time. This means out of every 1000 persons it identifies and creates a dossier on, 80 will be the wrong person! With a population of 311 million this would mean 249,000 facial recognition mistakes.This means law enforcement will identify nearly 10 percent of it's "suspects" erroneously,resulting in more wrong doors kicked in,false arrests,and millions paid out by taxpayers  for  lawsuits of innocent victims. The system was tested on a trial basis in the state of Michigan earlier this year, and has already been cleared for pilot runs in Washington, Florida and North Carolina. Now according to this week’s New Scientist report, the full roll out of the program has begun and the FBI expects its intelligence infrastructure to be in place across the United States by 2014. US Senator Al Franken (D-Minnesota) told the Senate Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee on privacy, technology and the law earlier this year. “Once government has your faceprint, they can get your name, they can find your social networking account and they can find and track you in the street, in the stores you visit, the government buildings you enter, and the photos your friends post online.”  Carnegie Mellon University Professor Alessandro Acquisti said to Sen. Franken, “the convergence of face recognition, online social networks and data mining has made it possible to use publicly available data and inexpensive technologies to produce sensitive inferences merely starting from an anonymous face.”
