SHOWDOWN AT HIGH NOON (SATURDAY 4th)

Protesters Plan More Silent Dancing Despite Cops' Orders June 04, 2011
After being violently body slammed and choked by police at the Jefferson Memorial for the crime of silently dancing to celebrate the First Amendment, Iraq war veteran Adam Kokesh and a group of protesters will repeat their actions at noon today to illustrate how freedom of speech in America is a bygone relic. They were arrested, slammed to the ground and choked last weekend. But protesters opposed to a federal judge's ruling that bans dancing or swaying silently or any other movement that could be loosely be considered 'dancing' inside the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in D.C. aren't backing down. Led by Adam Kokesh (an Iraq war vet), the protesters plan a larger silent dance party for noon this Saturday at the memorial. Kokesh's movement found support from a majority of this blog's readers on Monday in an unscientific poll, in which voters 2-1 said the police were wrong to arrest the protesters.
